What To Expect

The church said that the event includes supper and activities for families to enjoy together as a part of their Lenten journey.

During the last fellowship night, the church said it had 33 people in attendance, and it provided pizza, good bags, and activities for them to do.

The church said in the post that it asked the children to come to the church wearing their favorite pajamas as they watched Disney's “Encanto.”

About Trinity Church Boston

The church’s website bared that the church is a congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.

It said that the church is a place where people are welcome and can receive the inspiration, comfort, and sense of community that Christians need.

The church highlights the importance of community, quoting Matthew 18:20, which says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”

For this reason, the church even established a parish covenant in 2013, outlining the values that it tries to live by.

History, Architecture of Trinity Church Boston

According to Explore Boston History, the church has a long-standing history with the city for its architectural features.

The website noted that in 1885, the building was voted the finest building in the country. The church's construction happened from 1872 to 1877, right after the previous church building burned down in the great fire of 1872.

The church follows the Richardsonian Romanesque style with a hint of modern interpretation. As such, the church had grand towers, stained glass windows, and murals.

The Rev. Morgan S. Allen

Trinity Church Boston wrote in its website that The Rev. Morgan S. Allen serves as the rector of the church. He has been with the church since 2019, previously serving the Good Shepherd church in Austin, Texas as its rector.

Reverend Allen graduated from the Lousiana State University, where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Apart from that, the pastor also holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the Seminary of the Southwest.

The website said Pastor Allen is an experienced leader and lay professional, who served as the Rector of Saint Barnabas in Lafayette during the summer before Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Trinity Church Boston Children's and Family Programs

According to the church, it believes in the importance of children as community members.

Because of this, the church has multiple programs that cater to the younger members of the congregation, from infants to high school.

The church also has groups for them to join to ensure that they can grow through participation and contributions.

Apart from all that, the church encourages families to let their children join for worship. Also, the church even has a weekly Children's Homily that happens every Sunday together with the sermon.

The homily is open to kids as young as four-years-old as long as they have the needed attention span.
