The Roman Catholic Diocese of Cleveland was founded on April 23, 1847. Under the leadership of the Most Reverend Edward G. In steadfast support of our over 40,000 students and their families, the Office works to ensure that each school has the capacity to deliver strong, positive, irresistibly Catholic education for continued growth in academic excellence and faith formation.

The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and Lake Catholic High School are pleased to accept applications for the position of Academic Dean.

Founded in 1970, Lake Catholic High School is a coeducational comprehensive high school with a college preparatory emphasis. Lake Catholic is committed to educating young men and women of diverse means and ability throughout Northeast Ohio. With a population of some 500 students in grades nine through twelve and international students from a half dozen countries, Lake Catholic High School emphasizes spiritual growth in the Catholic faith as students learn, work, and serve.

Purpose:
Academic Dean, under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, is responsible for maintaining a program of high-school studies that conforms to the school’s mission and philosophy, Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and State standards.

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain a collaborative environment Knowledge of PBL/STE(A)M teaching methods and assessments
Plan and execute continuous academic improvement
Curriculum leader and expert in teaching methodology

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Education Administration or Curriculum
Experience in school administration/management
Evidence of a strong commitment to the values, mission, ministry, and evangelization commission of the Catholic Church. Must be a practicing Catholic with demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Church, Catholic education, and Catholic teachings and traditions.
Ability to successfully pass a background, criminal history, and VIRTUS certification
