Pathway Church in Strongsville, Ohio, will be applying for certification as a provider agency for people with developmental disabilities. Our adult day program, Pathway to Abundant Life (PALs), will be a faith-based, Christ-centered wholly-owned subsidiary and ministry of Pathway Church.

We are currently looking for a person to fill the position of Program Supervisor. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a leadership role from the onset of our program where we will endeavor to merge the paths of faith and habilitation with the ultimate goal of glorifying God by exalting the name of Christ and by selflessly serving and edifying our participants (our PALs) and fellow co-workers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Be at least 21 years old

Be able to read, write, and understand English

Have a bachelor’s degree OR, if not, high school diploma or GED PLUS hold a supervisor position for 4 years (full-time experience or part-time equivalent) overseeing programs or services for people with developmental disabilities. (For clarification purposes, 4 years supervisory experience only necessary if you do not have a bachelor’s degree.)

AND

Have at least 1 year of experience in a position with responsibility for the following areas of agency management.

-- The experience must be with an agency currently or previously delivering services primarily to individuals with developmental disabilities (for ex., an agency certified by
DODD).

-- Experience with health agencies that do not primarily serve individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g. nursing homes, home health agencies, mental/behavioral health services agencies) is NOT accepted.

Responsibility performing the following tasks:

1. Personnel Matters: Includes but is not limited to hiring/interviewing employees, conducting performance evaluations, complying with employment law, and performing registry checks. Experience can be direct or through administrative oversight of human resource job positions.

2. Supervision of Employees: You must have held a position where staff reported directly to you.

3. Program Services. Includes but is not limited to overseeing the delivery of services to people with developmental disabilities in a manner which reflects appropriate implementation of service needs.

◼ Experience must be with an agency or organization that primarily serves people with developmental disabilities, rather than incidentally while serving populations such as older adults or people with other chronic medical conditions.

4. Financial Management. Includes but is not limited to budget development, financial reporting, contract management, grant management, account management, access to agency accounts and expenditure approvals beyond petty cash or client funds, billing for services, paying business taxes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Program Directors and provide leadership in responsibilities of the day-to-day operations of the program, including areas of life skills development and reinforcement, vocational exploration, physical fitness, recreation and leisure activities.

Provide leadership in planning and implementing person-centered services and supports and ensuring consistency with those identified in individual service plans.

Assist in monitoring program to ensure quality care and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Responsible for direct service care of participants.

Assist in orientation and certification training of staff, including individual specific training consistent with needs identified in service plans.

Assist in collecting and reviewing data to monitor participant progress to ensure appropriate progress and outcomes.

Assist with MUI process and preparing MUI and UI reports to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and to ensure appropriate preventative strategies are put into effect.

Assist with planning and implementing weekly schedule of structured activities at the day program.

Assist with planning and implementing community activities.

Responsible for ensuring necessary staff to participant ratio is consistently maintained on a daily basis, to ensure individuals receive appropriate services and supports to meet their needs and to ensure safety, quality care, compliance with service plans, and appropriate progress and outcomes.

Supervise and evaluate job performance of direct care providers to ensure compliance with performance expectations and standards consistent with program’s policies and procedures and employee manual.

Assist with weekly billing to ensure timely reimbursement for rendered services.
