We seek a highly competent Advancement Associate to support all core administrative functions. The Advancement Associate will report to the Senior Director of Advancement and support the needs of the Advancement Team to provide excellent administrative support internally and externally and assist with fundraising and marketing activities. The primary responsibilities of the individual in this position will be to support projects related to grant management, fundraising, and database management in support of Catholic Charities' strategic goals and mission. In addition to daily responsibility for entering and acknowledging all gifts, assisting in account reconciliation, and producing reports on the state of fundraising efforts, the Advancement Associate will assist with community engagement, special events, communications, marketing, and related activities.

This position is based out of our Cleveland location, with the option for hybrid as needed.

What you will do:

  • Grant & Fund Development Database Management
    • Record all grants, gifts, and donors in the appropriate database. Maintain a calendar and track all grants – from initial inquiry and proposal through awarding, entering, acknowledgment and renewal. Generate regular reports for Advancement, Finance, and Program staff on fundraising activities. Continually assess data processing to identify potential efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Special Event Support
    • Work collaboratively with Development, Marketing, and Program Staff to keep projects on task and support planning, event activities, and follow-up communications.
  • Department Support
    • Participate as a member of the Advancement Team and assist Senior Director and Directors with administrative tasks as assigned.
