Skills & Experience:
Required
Demonstrated success in leading diverse vocal/instrumental music.
Excellent musicianship both vocally and instrumentally. Proficiency on guitar, keyboard, and/or vocals in various music styles.
2 + years’ experience as a contemporary/modern worship leader. Leadership Abilities: - Interpersonal and people skills - Strong communication skills and public speaking - Ability to work with unpaid servants - Coaching/ teaching capabilities
Experience with technical elements of worship in the A/V field or willing to learn.
A committed Christian who desires to express their faith in leading worship, works well with others, and has a heart for serving a church family.
Ability to read and lead music in a way that glorifies God.
Possess strong organizational and planning skills, short term (next week’s worship) and long term (looking ahead to major events or liturgical seasons like Christmas and Easter).
Excellent oral & written communications skills- responds to requests & information in a timely fashion
Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with others, especially Modern Worship lead and pastoral teams
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Music
Ability and desire to lead worship
Music Skills – Sings or plays a lead or other instrument, song writing, producing and arranging skills
Familiarity with programs like Worship Planning and Media Shout
