Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland is seeking candidates to join our team as an Insurance Verification Specialist. Our Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance eligibility for behavioral health insurance; review patient deductibles and/or copays. You will also participate in developing organizational procedures and update of forms and manuals.
Qualified candidates will have have prior insurance verification experience in a behavioral health office.
Program Statement:
The Central Billing Office's mission is to work collaboratively with our behavioral health team members in the pursuit of medical health and substance abuse treatment and programs that enhance and support their quality of life.
What You Will Do:
Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems.
Verify insurance eligibility for behavioral health insurances for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or by contacting the carriers directly.
Review patient deductibles and/or copays and enter into the billing system and maintain spreadsheets of data for reporting purposes.
Coordinate with site locations’ administrative support staff regarding scheduling errors.
Assist site in understanding carrier websites and verification of eligibility.
Enter insurance referrals as needed.
Participate in development of organizational procedures and update of forms and manuals.
Answer questions from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies.
Work in conjunction with the central billing department to ensure clean claim submission.
Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
