Catholic Charities Job and Career Training Services is looking for a highly motivated detailed orientated people person, whose passion is working in the trenches to serve the community. Our Job and Career Training Services provides help and creates hope for job seekers that have to overcome multiple barriers to employment. The Job Readiness & Self-Sufficiency Instructor is responsible for facilitating program activities to include individual and group job-seeking skills training workshops. This position provides individual and group job seeking skills training and career counseling. This position will also facilitate trainings for basic financial literacy, travel training, interview preparation, resume workshop and LinkedIn training and case management.

Qualified candidates must have a thorough understanding of workforce development and a combination of experience and education.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide individual and group job seeking skills training and career counseling.
  • Facilitate trainings for financial literacy, travel training, interview preparation, resume workshops and LinkedIn training.

Experience

Required

  • 3 - 5 years: knowledge of the needs and characteristics of adult learners, refugee and immigrant population preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years: Ability to work with diverse client population and community organizations as well as staff at all levels.

Education

Preferred

  • Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Education or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
