Under the direction of the Director of Planned Giving and Philanthropic Services, the Parish Services Manager manages, grows, and facilitates parish planned giving efforts. Develops strong working relationships with pastors, parish leaders, and essential volunteers in support of planned giving and other parish revenue-enhancing activities. Promotes offertory enhancement programs in parishes. Provides ongoing communications and resources for revenue-enhancing and charitable giving opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working under the direction of the Director of Planned Giving and Philanthropic Services, manages, develops, and grows parish-based planned giving marketing efforts, leading parishes in planned giving assessment, development of marketing plan, creation of planned giving materials/content, engagement of volunteers, outreach to parishioners and assisting with implementation/follow-up/evaluation of the program.
Organizes, attends, and represents Catholic Community Foundation (CCF) at legacy giving/estate planning seminars.
Develops strong working relationships with pastors and parish leaders to promote planned giving and other revenue-enhancing parish activities.
Supports the Director of Development for Catholic Education in discussions with school development teams related to school-based planned giving programs.
Meets with pastors and parish leadership regarding parish endowment funds.
Serves as liaison/primary point of contact for parishes interested in offertory enhancement programs; works with vendors to coordinate offertory enhancement programs; tracks and monitors program progress.
Provides ongoing communications and resources to parishes regarding revenue-enhancing and charitable giving opportunities, including planned giving, IRA-qualified philanthropic distributions, and stock gifts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
You must be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church. She has demonstrated commitment to the values, beliefs, traditions, and teachings of the Catholic Church. Ability to uphold Catholic values, beliefs, practices, and education of the Catholic Church in working with donors and colleagues toward excellence in Catholic Stewardship.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Equivalent experience, certification, and training may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.
Three to five years of experience in planned giving donor relations, marketing, sales, client services, or similar industry.
Successful experience in creating and sustaining fruitful professional relationships.
Enthusiasm and excitement in making a support case, recognizing each audience's needs, interests, and situation.
Excellent written and oral communication and networking skills with the ability to engage, inspire, and educate in personal meetings and group settings. Successful experience in public speaking and presenting to groups and individuals.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Robust and successful experience collaboratively working with diverse groups toward achieving goals and fulfilling outcomes.
Experience and ability to manage data relative to donor relationships. Fluency in database software.
Experience in best practices in Stewardship, fundraising, or sales management.
