Program Statement:
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland is seeking a motivated, mission-driven and knowledgeable Program Administrator to join Migration and Refugee Services. Migration and Refugee Services resettles approximately 450 refugees annually from countries including Bhutan, Burma, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Eritrea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, and Ukraine. We respect the dignity of each person and provide a supportive environment where each individual and culture is celebrated. Building upon the courage and strength of these newcomers, we seek to empower them to achieve self-sufficiency and independence.
What You Will Do:
Oversee a community sponsorship program that will link parish and community sponsors to Ukrainian refugees.
Recruit and train volunteers using the Welcome Circle model of care.
Provide direct supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator and support staff.
Record and report on volunteer hours and in-kind donations for federal matching purposes.
Conduct group enrollments and provide cultural orientation for new arrivals seeking employment and educational opportunities.
Assist with community outreach events to recruit volunteers and donations for all MRS programming.
Experience
Preferred
1 - 3 years: Refugee resettlement, job training/job placement, and/or non-profit work experience.
Education
Preferred
Bachelors or better in Nonprofit Administration or related field
Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field
Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
