Resilience Coach
Do you like walking with people through their struggles so they can have a more fulfilling life? We're looking for a caring and experienced team member to work with our multi-ethnic church in the most diverse neighborhood in Cleveland to coach people toward greater physical, social, emotional, spiritual and mental health.
Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide education, crisis trauma intervention and stabilization, and coaching activities for Bridge City Church attenders and community members after victimization and/or traumatic experiences; to coordinate services for trauma survivors through the use of informal assessments and coaching sessions; to refer survivors/families to appropriate services within the community to support their recovery; to develop a trauma recovery support group program.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Education of Church & Community
- Educates staff, church members, service providers, community groups and other churches about the trauma recovery program and the importance of a trauma-informed culture via in-person meetings and online gatherings. Follows up with interested parties and engages them with program offerings as appropriate.
- Guides Bridge City Church Care Team into an understanding of trauma-informed care and helps develop and lead care processes through the church
