Technical Producer and Events Manager

Founded in 1820, we’ve served the city of Cleveland for 200 years from the heart of Public Square. As a historic Presbyterian church with a contemporary spirit, we welcome and host hundreds of worshippers, weddings, tours, and visitors each year from around the globe.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a Technical Producer and Events Manager who will oversee our technical production of Sunday Services and other identified content at Old Stone Church. Additionally, this individual will have a role in assisting with our special events, both from a production standpoint (live streaming, recording, editing, and posting) as well as planning ahead to assist in securing events at Old Stone Church, including weddings, theatrical, and other outside groups looking to make Old Stone Church their performance space.
An individual who will thrive in this role will need to have a technical production background, including multi-camera and mixing board operation, knowledge of live streaming software, audio/visual best practices, and the ability to be creative and make events visually and aurally look and sound the best they can.
The individual who is ideal for this role is someone who can appreciate the importance of transmitting the spiritual aspects of the worship service; not just merely broadcasting the service.
Evenings and weekend availability (Sunday service) is vital to this role, as is a being a self-starter and team player.
Key Duties:
· Produces each 10:00 a.m. Sunday service, select weddings, and other identified special events.
· Live streams each Sunday service, select weddings, and posts to Old Stone Church’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
· Helps attract new weddings, special events to Old Stone Church.
· Makes necessary edits to content (editing and posting of weekly sermons).
· Works with the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement to find creative ways to present Old Stone Church to the public, including working with Senior staff.
· Serves as the point-person for all contact during the planning of a special event; from initial contact to coordinating the closing of the event.
· Collaborates with our Property Manager on event and facilities logistics.
· Thinks ahead and cultivates a content calendar of non-service oriented content (thought leadership videos with Senior Pastor, highlighting of seasonal events (Easter, Advent), developing video content for internal video boards and televisions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
· 3+ years working in video production – bonus points for direct wedding and festival event experience within a church or live entertainment space environment!
· Demonstrated experience or ability to learn core functions in video production, streaming, and editing software (Restream, Davinci, OBS.)
· Knowledgeable in video trends and technology.
· Experienced using social media (Facebook) and willing to use and embrace new technologies to better communicate and assist in marketing events.
· Working knowledge of best practices revolving around legalities for streaming and broadcasting digital rights content and licenses.
· Experienced managing and working with volunteer teams and internship programs.
· Embraces working both autonomously as well as within a team scope.
· Working knowledge of social media best practices.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Passionate about community and relationship building (that’s what we’re here for!) Demonstrated experience in finding solutions to problems (both present and forecasted.)
Reports to: Senior Pastor.
Supervises: No direct subordinates
Salary range: Between $50,000 - $55,000 annually.
This position is full time, located at Old Stone Church (91 Public Square, Cleveland, OH. 44113), with the possibility of some remote work. Benefits, including health coverage and 403B as well as paid time off (PTO) are available.
