Cathedral Chapel School, a Catholic elementary school located in the Mid Wilshire area, is looking for one after school assistant for the Extended Day Care Program. The candidate for this position must have experience working with children in grades 1-5 in an after school care program. We are looking for a qualified individual who communicates in a professional manner with parents, guardians, staff members, and children. The candidate for this position could be a college student who is interested in being a teacher and has a schedule that would allow them to work in the afternoon.
This is a part time position supervising fifteen to twenty students in an after school care program. The schedule for the after school care program includes the following activities: snack time, homework period, outdoor play, arts and crafts, and occasional movies. The candidates for this position will need to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members. Assistants in the after school care program are responsible for assisting students with their homework during the study period. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe after school care environment while supervising students during the homework period and play time.
Requirements
The hours for this part time position are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:45 – 6:00 PM
Wednesday from 12:15 – 6:00 PM
Hourly Position: $16.04 to $17.00 per hour depending on experience
