Full Job Description
The Assistant Athletic Director coordinates and supports all aspects of the Louisville Athletic Program. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Timely communication of all sporting events, game results, athletic rosters, and scheduling
- Manages travel and transportation arrangements, field, and site management
- Assists in recruiting and selecting coaches for sports teams
- Promotes school spirit and involvement with the Athletics Program
- Teaches health and/or athletic courses to students
- Manages athletics social media postings and platforms
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Kinesiology or related field
- Masters degree in related field preferred
- Previous athletic management experience in college or high school
- Ability to coach at least one high school sport if needed
- Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative where needed
- Superior organizational skills
- Technologically proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Able to create and maintain athletic social media presence
- Working knowledge of concepts and principles of media communications and relations
