The Assistant Athletic Director coordinates and supports all aspects of the Louisville Athletic Program. This includes but is not limited to the following:
 

  • Timely communication of all sporting events, game results, athletic rosters, and scheduling
  • Manages travel and transportation arrangements, field, and site management
  • Assists in recruiting and selecting coaches for sports teams
  • Promotes school spirit and involvement with the Athletics Program
  • Teaches health and/or athletic courses to students
  • Manages athletics social media postings and platforms

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Kinesiology or related field
  • Masters degree in related field preferred
  • Previous athletic management experience in college or high school
  • Ability to coach at least one high school sport if needed
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative where needed
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Able to create and maintain athletic social media presence
  • Working knowledge of concepts and principles of media communications and relations
