Full Job Description
Our Lady Queen of Angels is hiring one part-time Confirmation Teacher
Our Lady Queen of Angels is a Catholic Church in the City of Los Angeles; the Confirmation Teacher is responsible for the Confirmation program, including preparation and education of the youth, parent conferences and organizing and working with the facilitators.
Confirmation classes to the youths are given on Friday evenings, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and to family parents on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Will also need to attend the Sunday, 9:00 am mass with the youths.
Candidates should be experienced catechist who think creatively, work independently and possess effective written and verbal communication skills. The position requires a preferred minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Catholic Theology, or related field. Fervent love for the lord and His Church, a solid understanding and ability to articulate and promote the Church teaching, strong leadership and communication skills are required.
Requirements
Experience: Family with faith Formation Curriculum
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Religious Education in Catholic Religious Studies.
Language: English and Spanish, must be fully Bi-Lingual to apply for position
