The Dean of Studies is responsible to the Principal and his/her duties shall be:

1. Create master schedule, assign students and teachers;

2. Supervise Director of Guidance;

3. Supervise learning specialist and yearbook moderator;

4. Maintain and inform students in regard to Honor and Scholar Roll, ineligibility and scholastic probation;

5. Processing of forms for recording grades and transmitting report cards;

6. Create and maintain all academic records;

7. Coordinate textbook and teacher materials ordering;

8. Assist in teacher hiring;

9. Supervise/evaluate faculty members

10. The preparation and preservation of accurate academic records for each student;

13. To conference with the Principal, or delegated committee, on reassignment of students for academic reasons;

14. To assist the Principal in screening teacher applicants

Requirements

BA in a subject taught here; MA degree; 8-10 years experience teaching and/or in administration in an accredited four-year high school. Demonstrated excellence in the classroom, high degree of professionalism, willingness to collaborate, strong work ethic, and mission-driven decision making.

Preferred requirements (in addition to the above):
Teaching credential and/or Administrative credential; MA degree in Education or Educational Administration; significant administrative experience in a Catholic school setting.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
