Notre Dame Academy High School in West Los Angeles is seeking a highly qualified full-time Director of Campus Ministry and theology teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a vibrant Catholic high school or college campus ministry program or parish youth program as well as teaching theology. We seek an educator who understands how campus ministry can ignite the faith of high school students and build community with a spiritual foundation.

NDA seeks an educator of deep faith with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in theology, successful high school teaching experience, and a passion for developing a dynamic campus ministry program to engage high school students in their faith journey. Desired experience includes planning and coordinating liturgies, organizing and executing school retreats, including Kairos, and training campus ministry students to lead all campus ministry events and functions. This individual should be a practicing Catholic who understands the USCCB’s secondary religion curriculum framework and who is innovative, dynamic, energetic, organized, flexible, and hard working. We seek faculty members who are intellectually curious, willing to grow professionally, student focused, dedicated to lifelong learning, and able to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and parents to enhance our learning community.

Requirements

  • Experience running a high school or college campus ministry program or parish youth program
  • Successful record of high school or college theology/religion teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, or related field, Master’s desired
  • Commitment to Catholic education
  • Experience coordinating liturgy
  • Commitment to an inclusive and equitable working and learning environment
  • California teaching credential preferred

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
