Employment:

 Part-Time, 20 hours a week (hourly rate dependent upon experience).

Collaborates ministries and support services with Evangelization, Formation, and Youth Ministry /Confirmation Directors; assists in planning events and programming as needed.


Responsible for day-to-day office tasks such as composing correspondence, printing, mailing, receiving calls and messages, effectively communicating those messages, responding to emails, and other duties as assigned.
Responsible for inputting and keeping up-to-date census data in the parish Database and contact information for electronic communications, coordinating other data sets to facilitate, support, and grow the ministries.

Oversees social media and communications for Evangelization, Formation, and Youth Ministry/Confirmation Programs.
Responsible for organizing Evangelization, Formation, and Youth Ministry /Confirmation calendars concerning all other Parish ministry calendars and events.

Responsible for overseeing Safe Environment programs as required by the Archdiocese and pastor, responsible for the recording and tracking persons regarding compliance with such policies.
Responsible for Registration, sacramental information, and support documentation and data for Evangelization, Formation, Youth Ministry, and Confirmation programs.

Responsible for recording attendance, assignments, and fees as assigned. Acts as recording secretary and provides archival records for the ministries.
Available to work some evenings and weekends.

Required weekly meetings with Evangelization & Formation Director and Youth Ministry/Confirmation Coordinator to coordinate effective ministry in alignment with the Parish Vision, Parish priorities and Goals, the Pastors vision, and the vision of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Required Skills: 

A Practicing Catholic. Knowledge of Catholic Sacraments, Formation, and Practice. Strong oral and written communication with diplomacy and professionalism. Practical ability in Computer Software, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Church Management Programming, etc. Functional knowledge in Social Media & Communication. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with all staff and volunteers. Flexible and quick to adjust to changes in schedules and job assignments.

Reputation for honesty and high ethical standards. Current California driver’s license. Requires sitting for sustained periods daily; occasionally lifts to 20 pounds; performs tasks requiring intermittent bending, stooping, and walking; supports the frequent movement of the fingers, wrists, hands, and arms.
