Employee: Job Title: Associate Student Minister (Female)
Department: Calvary Students Manager/Direct Report: Student Pastor
Calvary Church is looking for an Associate Student Minister (ASM) who will provide Pastoral leadership for female students (6th-12th grade) through small groups and intentional discipleship. The ASM will have a significant role in our Middle School Ministry and will provide creative and administrative support to the student ministry department.
Our ASM is a passionate follower of Jesus who loves the local church and follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. They will join our community in practicing the way of Jesus together for the renewal of Pacific Palisades. They will be committed to the vision, values, mission and beliefs of Calvary Church. The ASM is a full-time employee (salary + benefits) and will be an active member of the Calvary Ministry Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Passion for the Church, Calvary’s vision, people and the Kingdom
- Spend relational time with high school females (one-on-ones, small groups, etc.)
- Help build and maintain a dynamic middle school ministry
- Collaborate with Student Team for camps, retreats, and other special events
- Develop an intentional discipleship plan for female students
- Provide administrative/creative support where needed
- Help prepare and execute weekly programs: Sunday Gathering (Sunday mornings); middle school chapels (Wednesday afternoons); Middle School Gathering (Wednesday nights); and High School Gathering (Sunday evenings)
- Create opportunities that students will see as fun, safe, and inviting
- Complete additional tasks as provided by Student Pastor
What a Strong Candidate Would Look Like
- Must have the ability to explain the Gospel and be passionate about the story of Jesus
- Needs to have the heart and competency to serve middle school students and high school females
- Calvary is seeking a creative mindset- the ministry needs diversity (balance of fun and maturing)
- Needs a “Whatever-it takes” attitude
Work Schedule
- Sunday Morning (Middle School Gathering)
- Sunday Evening (High School Gathering)
- Monday & Tuesday Morning (7th Grade Bible Class)
- Wednesday Morning (Middle School Chapel)
- Wednesday Evening (Middle School Youth Group)
- Special Student Programming (when necessary)
- Student Camps/Retreats (seasonal)
- Major All-Church Events
Compensation
The ASM is a full time employee who will have a competitive salary; entitled to health, dental, and vision coverage; Paid Time Off; paid Federal Holidays off; and resources for professional development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
