The duties are as follows (but are not limited to):
– Supervise the students so that they eat in an orderly manner.
– Supervise the clean up of eating and play areas.
– Supervise the playground so that students play in a safe manner within the assigned areas.
– Record and inform the classroom teacher of any serious behavior problems.
– Send children with minor injuries to the school office (have another child accompany any primary child)
– Stay with a child with serious injuries and send responsible students immediately to the school office.
– Be pleasant, yet firm, when reminding children of rules.
– Report all strangers on campus to the school office.
– Do not allow other people into the yard unless a faculty or staff, or people with a Visitor’s Pass
– Do not allow attention to be distracted from pupils in their area by lengthy conversations with adults or students.
– When after-school: Will be under the supervision of the Extended Day Program Director while supervising and interacting with children enrolled in Extended Day Program (EDP) at all times in order to help the director in setting-up and overseeing homework time, snack time, and planned activities

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
– Ability to follow instructions from supervisors, including but not limited to front office personnel and Extended Day Program Director.
– Great attention to students in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the children while providing a fun and nurturing environment.
– Motivated, responsible, independent and excellent people skills
– VIRTUS training and fingerprint clearance through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles

Education and Experience:
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Related experience preferred.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
