SUMMARY
The film and television videographer is a member of the Creative Team at Hillsong Church Phoenix who reports to the Creative Pastor. The role primarily encompasses pre-producing, shooting, and editing content for Hillsong Church Phoenix and Hillsong Channel. The candidate should have strong skills in cinematography and video post-production.
The Creative Team at Hillsong Church Phoenix is tight-knit and consists of both staff members and volunteers. RESPONSIBILITIES
— Oversee the live capture of weekly services for immediate live-streaming and future television broadcast.
— Create video content for Hillsong Church Phoenix and Hillsong Channel at all stages of the production process, including:
- Pre-production: pitch ideas for video content, scout locations, obtain permissions, storyboard, organize volunteers, and determine necessary equipment.
- Production: Set up cameras, lighting, and audio for shoots both as part of a large team and as a one-man-band. Employ principles of cinematography, lighting, and sound design to meet the needs of the shoot and to achieve a compelling aesthetic style.
- Post-production: create a final video product through film editing, color grading, motion graphics and animation, and sound mixing.
—Recruit and direct volunteers of all skill levels for all stages of the production process.

CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS
— Maintain a relationship and commitment to Jesus Christ.
— Maintain a commitment to Hillsong Church, its vision, and its leadership.
— Demonstrate spiritual maturity consisting of a pleasant, forgiving, non-judgmental, but assertive manner.
— Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
— Demonstrate an ability to meet time-manage without being micro-managed and to meet deadlines (may occasionally involve working outside normal hours).
— Maintain an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team, members of congregation and general public.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
— Strong understanding of cinematography, including: composition, lighting, and audio recording.
— Strong understanding of film and television production, including: pre-production, broadcast standards, — media formats, field-of-view, and lensing.
— Strong understanding of post-production, including: editing, color correction, motion graphics, and sound mixing.
— Familiarity and competent operation of large-chip camcorders (e.g. Blackmagic URSA, Canon C-series, etc.) or hybrid cameras (Canon DSLRs, Sony a7S-series, Panasonic GH-series, etc.)
— Strong competency in a NLE program (Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve) and ability to rapidly learn new software as needed.
— Familiarity with MacOS.
SKILL PREFERENCE
— A degree or certificate in a relevant area of study.
— A developed portfolio of recent work.
— Tangible experience in film and television production involving both cinematography and editing.
— Familiarity with broadcast standards.
— Familiarity and competency in a motion graphics program (e.g. Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion).
— Familiarity with live production and broadcast equipment (e.g. Blackmagic ATEM switchers, 2/3” camcorders, etc.)
