About this Event
We are delighted to announce our Bloomsday-themed First Friday Networking Breakfast, celebrating 100 years since the publication of James Joyce's Ulysses.
We are excited to have the remarkable theatre company Elevator Repair Service (ERS) perform a sneak preview of the world premiere of a newly commissioned work. This will be followed by a conversation, “U for You” with President of the James Joyce Society, Jonathan Goldman, and ERS Artistic Director John Collins and actor Scott Shepherd.
We look forward to hosting members of the community at the Consulate for our in-person breakfast with our usual spread—including Barry's Tea, brown bread, Irish sausages and a few Ulysses-inspired treats! The breakfast will provide an opportunity to catch the latest New York community news and chat with old friends and new.
Bloomsday dress encouraged, not required; think straw boaters, linen and all things Edwardian.
As per building regulations, attendees must have registered in advance—those who have not registered will unfortunately not be able to access the building on the day.
So come join us on Friday, 3 June, at 8:00am EST for our latest networking breakfast, and have a chance to meet and chat with other members of the Irish community and kick off Bloomsday in style.
