Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Minister Search Committee, the successful candidate will perform recruitment duties for the Senior Minister search. These duties include but are not limited to: performing routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, preparing reports, gathering data, or providing information to callers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assist in communication with the congregation (monthly updates, mailings, etc.)
Assist in the organization and implementation of a virtual “Listening Tour” with church ministries, local community, and national stakeholders
Assist in the preparation of the church profile and position profile
Post church/position profiles with denominational affiliates, list with agencies, post on ministry websites and religious magazines
Assist in the preparation of necessary documents and interview questions
Maintain good relationship with all applicants and candidates
Communicate requirements and duties to prospective candidates
Assist in screening candidates
Schedule and organize interviews with candidates
Keep records of candidate interviews
Maintain the internal database for resume and required application materials
Generate correspondence to the committee and congregants
Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution
Manage email account, phones and coordination of meetings for the Committee
Prepare mailings, invoices, reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet or presentation software
File and retrieve documents, records and reports
Provide information by answering questions and requests in a timely manner
Track expenses as per budget and process receipts for reimbursement
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
Performs other duties as assigned, on an as needed basis.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Associate degree required, Bachelor degree preferred
Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience with administrative and/or information technology disciplines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), G-Suite, digital media
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
Self-motivated work ethic
Emotionally mature, trustworthy, reliable and professional
Ability to maintain confidentiality, to keep information private
Familiarity with and appreciation for The Riverside Church, its mission, ministries, and programs
