Primary Responsibility:

Supports the Director of Marketing in day-to-day operations of the department and acts as backup to the Director. They support, co-leads, and leads larger projects and interacts with departments and ministries throughout the organization. They provide leadership and also coordinates work activities.
Experience Level:

  • 8-10 years of integrated marketing experience, including campaign planning and oversight, traditional and digital (social/mobile/search) marketing, marketing communications mix, brand management, and team leadership
  • 5 yearsfiveof supervisory experience
  • five years of experience with project management, experience with client management
  • Experience with writing and editing for a variety of audience

Direct Supervisor: Director of Marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Act as backup to Director for department operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee integrated marketing campaigns. Implement marketing strategies and plans in coordination with the Director.
  • Partner with ministries on events and initiatives to develop marketing plans and oversee the communication and execution of those plans. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders and marketing/communications colleagues.
  • Oversee ‘internal agency’ that provides design and marketing consultation to ministries of the archdiocese.
  • Supervise employees and support department annual budget.
  • Provide counsel and support in social media, website, mobile, and email marketing.
  • Support department measures of success (analytical reporting in multiple channels).
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Essential Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree with a demonstration of seeking out opportunities for education outside of work through volunteer, certificates, programs, or graduate education.

Essential Skills/Abilities:

  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Understanding of marketing best practices and strategies
  • Project management
  • Campaign management, including agency and media partnerships
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Project management software
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, Google metrics
  • Microsoft 360 with a high degree of experience with Excel and PPT
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
