Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.

The Business Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the AVP, Business Compliance, and other members of the Business Compliance unit with various tasks relating to the legal and regulatory requirements of CPG’s three lines of businesses. These tasks include making insurance and other regulatory filings, completing licensing requirements, responding to audit and other examination requests, leading the Business Compliance unit’s information management implementation efforts, tracking internal client requests such as document reviews, ensuring that reported business compliance issues are tracked and remediated, assisting with administrative tasks such as submitting check requisitions and processing departmental invoices, and any other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Making insurance and other regulatory filings.
Completing licensing requirements.
Responding to audit and other examination requests.
Leading the Business Compliance unit’s information management implementation efforts.
Tracking internal client requests such as document reviews.
Ensuring that reported business compliance issues are tracked and remediated.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as submitting check requisitions and processing departmental invoices.
Any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BA/BS required; paralegal experience a plus.
At least 1+ year experience in a financial services or similar corporate setting.
Demonstrated compliance and/or administration experience in one or more of the following areas:
Pension (DB and/or DC);
Insurance (life, health, disability, and/or property & casualty);
Publishing;
Privacy and/or security;
Tax (state, federal, and/or international).
Experience with church plans and/or The Episcopal Church a plus.
