We are seeking a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator (CMC) who has a passion to see kids encounter the love of God for them in Jesus. The CMC will partner with the Priest-in-Charge (PiC) to cultivate a multi-generational faith community at St. Peter’s that nurtures the spiritual formation and imaginations of children. This job starts at ten hours a week, Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm and one weekly staff meeting (1 hour) are mandatory with the additional five hours flexible during the week. Some special events throughout the year.
The CMC is responsible for:
- Leading children’s worship on Sundays with the help of volunteers.
- Working with clergy, staff and volunteers to plan worship, hospitality and spiritual formation efforts from a multi-generational perspective.
- Creating thoughtful and inviting spaces at St. Peter’s with children and parents in mind, including the sanctuary and rectory.

- A life of faith and commitment to spiritual practices and rhythms of prayer that ground their service and leadership in a growing relationship with God.
- Commitment to the apostolic and adventurous call of the church to follow Jesus into God’s dream of renewing all things in Christ.
- Strong belief in the potential of children to have a dynamic and vibrant relationship with God.
- Effectively communicates in formal and informal settings to influence and inspire.
- Proven track record in executing creative and imaginative experiences that transform.
- Ability to gather people and organize them for a shared task.
- Unflappable in the face of formidable challenges.
- Ability to contribute and thrive in a context of change and uncertainty.
- Demonstrate self-awareness, emotional health/intelligence, mature character.
- Know how to engage in healthy conflict with respect, honesty and love.
- Technologically proficient.
