An all-girls Catholic High School in New York City is seeking a knowledgeable, innovative, and inspiring Dance teacher to join a great team. The candidate must partake in collaboration with other colleagues and promote understanding and communication in a diverse learning and cultural environment.
Job Responsibilities
Create daily lesson plans and learning activities based on New York State Standards.
Deliver high-quality and engaging instruction.
Differentiate lessons when needed.
Evaluate student performance on tasks and adjust the lessons when necessary.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom by following the school's handbook's procedures and policies.
Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
Develop engaging and relevant lessons that allow the students to grow academically.
Incorporate technology and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom.
Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced.
Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
Provide fun and creative environment.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree / Dance Experience
