The Development & Communications Coordinator supports all fund development and internal and external communications activities of Church of the Heavenly Rest. The position will manage the day-to-day operations of annual stewardship and internal communications.
Great candidates will be creative and enjoy developing and building new initiatives within a smart, engaged community of leaders. They will be comfortable with collaborative environments. They will have proven experience in adaptive leadership, ability to delegate/work with highly talented volunteer committees, and knowledge of related software applications. They must be "church-friendly" and enjoy parish life.
DEVELOPMENT
- Work with the Rector and congregational leadership to develop and carry out annual stewardship strategy.
- Support strategy and implementation for all aspects of the annual stewardship campaign, including development of theme, timeline, and materials.
- Manage and guide a committee of volunteers in annual asks & strategy decisions
- Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and acknowledgements for commitments and contributions that are received.
- Collaborate to cultivate new generation of donors by deepening existing connections and engaging in prospect research
- Collaborate to reestablish the planned giving program at Heavenly Rest, in support of long term capital work
INTERNAL PARISH COMMUNICATIONS
- Work with Rector, Associate Rector, and Digital Engagement Director to support development and articulation of parish story-telling that guides strategy and ministries.
- Oversee & implement all regular communications including daily morning email, weekly emails, website, and database maintenance.
- Collaborate on collateral materials for parish ministries.
- Collaborate with congregational leaders and senior staff to identify communications needs.

Pay: $51,295.00 - $54,398.00 per year
