Position Title: Director for Global Operations
Reports To: VP for Global Operations and Culture
Location: NYC/DC/Remote
Team: Operations; SOLT

Primary Purpose:
The Director for Global Operations assists in the management necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational systems, infrastructure, controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems functional to effectively grow the organization and to ensure administrative strength and operating efficiency.
The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style that complements the other members of the team and is guided by the strategic and operational objectives of CWS.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participates in the hiring and training of departmental staff.
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental staff as assigned.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates operating procedures.
Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
Oversees assigned areas of responsibility ensuring each is reaching goals set by departmental and company leadership.
Develops operational budgets in coordination with other units and monitors to achieve financial objectives.
Collaborates with program and business services teams to maintain operational standards in domestic and international offices.
Collaborate in the registration, development, and operational infrastructure design of new offices domestically and internationally.
Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to staff.
Improves organizational service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
Leads coordination and integration of operational efforts among other divisions to produce smoother workflow and more efficient and cost-effective business processes.
Supervises the Travel Loan Department staff and related activities.
Supports the VPOC in implementing the operational systems and processes to undergird the organization in achieving its mission.
Supports improvement programs intended to undergird operational and system development and growth.
Assists VPOC in supporting internal partners in implementing minimum standards of operational norms across CWS global offices.
Supports internal partners in implementing best practices that will continually move the organization forward in mission.
Assists in the work of standardizing, training on and supporting internal partners on implementing operational policies and procedures for all CWS global offices.
Supports compliance activities for organizational operations.
Collaborates with other units on the management of organizational learning management platforms and related subject matter.
Supports staff care and organizational culture initiatives.
Design reporting templates and surveys to support global operations, such as key operations updates - quarterly from CWS offices, customer service surveys for internal and external audiences, staff input on key initiatives, etc.
Develop and update communications (e.g., videos, webinars) related to key initiatives.
Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, stakeholders, and community.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in non-profit operations, business, and finance.
Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field of study.
Extensive and diversified background with at least 7 years of related experience.
