Summary:

Pray NYC is responsible for overseeing the entire environment of the prayer culture of the church through leadership oversight of the worship and prayer ministry at COTC, with the highest focal point of building a 24/7 prayer ministry within our church and in collaboration with other partner churches in the city, nationally and internationally. Oversight of agreed congregational events, management of structures, and atmospheres where worship happens across the city.

This person can replicate themselves and build up the prayer and deep spiritual roots of worship across the entire church and instill it into the worship team environment. We are looking for a movement of prayer among the nations.

They are visionary and continually pursue the heart of bringing worship locally and globally to God's people. Current existing places of oversight are the prayer room, pre and post-service prayer, prayer for gathering, monthly, seasonal events & courses, & cultural engagement through prayer citywide. This person will build, train, & lead staff, leaders, intercessors, and interns to help lead the way of worship across our people, into our community, and hopefully into the international sphere of our organization.

This is also an equipping role. The training of different types of prayer growth across the people for deliverance, intercession, healing, and others is a need as people learn to hear the voice of God. Some for the first time, and others who wish to explore the hidden depths of the joy the Holy Spirit has to offer in prayer and relationship with his people to bring them into full maturity, lacking no good thing.

This person's heart must be to see and do only what the father is doing and lead the church in this manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Represents and upholds the culture of the Church of the City by demonstrating a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and learning posture.
  • Serve as the primary connection point for praynyc citywide.
  • Create a pathway to engage various city-wide leaders in the prayer room.
  • Collaboration & feedback with the worship department in the staffing of the prayer room worship leaders.
  • Ensure compliances for HR policies and procedures with any other platforms, calendars, meetings, staff reviews, retreat attendance, and departmental budget oversight.
  • File and obtain copyrights for all new materials produced. Agreed policies with the executive team for IP agreements.
  • Participation in the executive team for direction and collaboration of church needs and demands.
  • Implementation and independent decision-making of prayer room policies and procedures.
  • Ability for independent decision-making in the judgment development calls for Partnership parameters and determinations. But also in agreement with the executive team.
  • Teaching. At assigned gatherings.
  • Teaching in every aspect of the PrayNYC growth and development.
  • Visionary: Possibility of the school of prayer programs, intern programs, course developments, equipping materials development, and the equipping of brothers and sisters across the city, nation, and globe.
  • Oversight of all PrayNYC employees, interns, and areas of cotcnyc staff engagement.
  • Collaboration with the production team in areas of promotion for Praynyc. to reveal the testimonies of people of God and magnify the power and might of God and what He is doing among us, in this city, nation, and around the globe. And engaging with production for vision implementation engagements or events for Praynyc.
  • Leadership of prayer for staff.
  • Severe practice of the sabbath and deep joy renewal activities.
  • Advancement of the kingdom by making missional disciples.
  • Engagement with the secret places found across the globe.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees prayer room coordinators.

Oversees Independent Contractors -- musicians and for events

Oversees worship and prayer volunteers

Watches any Guests brought in for this ministry

Qualifications

A Christian in submission to the authority of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit is evident in lifestyle. Subscribes to and entirely agree with the Church of the City's Statement of Faith. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The criteria listed below represent the required knowledge, skill, experience, and ability. Education:

BA. At least two years of Specified ministry training.

Skills:

Must have general computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and iMac; protects confidential information; knowledge of general business practices; possess a strong work ethic; strong organizational skills and pays high attention to detail; strong communication skills (written and verbal); ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments; produce quality work and be accountable; manage time; ability to work well in team; demonstrate ability to be innovative and suggest change/improvements within scope of work; anticipates needs and creates efficient and effective processes; self-starter, self motivated and takes responsibility/ownership of tasks; thinks outside the box proactively, strategically and analytically; consistently takes initiative; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations; demonstrate a high level of customer service, friendliness, and phone etiquette consistent with the culture of the organization.

Experience:

A satisfactory equivalent of education, training, and experience in related fields and educational disciplines is sufficient to qualify for the requirements of the position
