The Journey is a young, growing, contemporary church in New York City (Manhattan). Currently we currently meet for services every Sunday in Midtown Manhattan and have Church Online services. Our offices are also in Midtown Manhattan.

We are looking for an energetic, upbeat person with strong administrative gifts to join our church and staff as Executive Assistant of Growth Groups and Ministry. The position would be Sunday – Thursday with some evenings required.
Responsibilities include working with pastoral staff to recruit, equip and communicate with volunteers who lead Growth Groups, volunteer on Sundays and serve in the office during the week. Helping prepare the Growth Group Catalog and overseeing the Growth Group web site every semester. Managing resources at our Sunday services. Overseeing preparation of printed materials for Sunday services each week. Assisting in the planning of special events and more.
Position requires strong computer and Internet skills. High capacity on email. Knowledge of Word and Excel a must. Good interpersonal and phone skills – as this person will be communicating with and working with volunteers on a daily basis. Ability to work with other design programs (Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) a plus, but not a requirement.
Undergrad degree plus previous experience in the field is required.
