Responsibilities

  • Performing basic clerical functions such as data entry, HR file maintenance, bookkeeping and office equipment operation
  • Scheduling Interview requests via Outlook
  • Conducting employment and education verifications and escalating any discrepancies and/or non-confirmations to the HR Generalist in a timely manner
  • Coordinating criminal history background checks
  • Processing E-verify and administering the Agency Overview - New Hire Orientation, including material preparation, ID Badge creation and EE personnel file creation
  • Processing monthly Driver’s License status review and tracking
  • Ordering departmental office supplies
  • Supporting the Human Resources Generalist on a variety of detail oriented updates and run queries in systems
  • Provides support to Department Manager, Human Resources and Benefits Manager, as required for special projects

Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
