Responsibilities
- Performing basic clerical functions such as data entry, HR file maintenance, bookkeeping and office equipment operation
- Scheduling Interview requests via Outlook
- Conducting employment and education verifications and escalating any discrepancies and/or non-confirmations to the HR Generalist in a timely manner
- Coordinating criminal history background checks
- Processing E-verify and administering the Agency Overview - New Hire Orientation, including material preparation, ID Badge creation and EE personnel file creation
- Processing monthly Driver’s License status review and tracking
- Ordering departmental office supplies
- Supporting the Human Resources Generalist on a variety of detail oriented updates and run queries in systems
- Provides support to Department Manager, Human Resources and Benefits Manager, as required for special projects
Skills
- Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communications skills
