We are searching for a full time Parish Administrator. The Parish Administrator is responsible for the smooth functioning of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s office and provides administrative support to the Pastor and Church Council. The Administrator must be able to work effectively with church leaders, staff, and members as well as building users and office drop-ins, treating all with respect and professionalism.

Qualifications Include:

· Experience in office management, preferably in a church environment

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Experience with website and social media management.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities Include:

· File and maintain church records.

· Assist in preparation of all worship bulletins.

· Prepare weekly e-newsletter.

· Coordinate contracting/rental of facilities and invoicing

· Schedule meetings and activities.

· Manage the church website, social media, and other publicity.

· Assist Treasurer as required.

· Maintain office supplies and equipment.

· Answer the telephone and update the answering machine.

· Receive guests and access appropriate staff.

· Handle the mail.

Pay: From $45,760.00 per year
