Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.

The part-time Recruiting & Training Assistant is responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition Team with various recruitment initiatives and scheduling, as well as assisting the Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) Team with various administration activities.

Part-Time position. 3 days a week in-office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Work closely with Talent Acquisition Team to maintain job postings
Interview scheduling
Advertise and promote employment brand and open positions
Administer pre-employment testing and criminal background checks
Assist with reporting and the maintenance of recruitment system data
Handle administrative duties including maintaining training and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) event calendars, reserving training rooms/scheduling virtual sessions, ensuring room set up and break down, working with internal communications, trainers and LOD team to develop communications that promote courses/events, sending pre-work and follow up communications.
Manage learning management system by adding courses and events, updating user lists, tracking enrollment and attendance. Help employees resolve technical issues. Work with technical trainer to raise issues and needs to vendor

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Intermediate PC skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1 + years in a professional office environment
AA/AS or combination of education and work experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Commuting to the NYC office three days a week. Extensive use of computer keyboard. Hourly Rate: $36.00 hourly
