The Adult Discipleship Pastor will be a proven leader joining up with a proven team doing great work in a highly missional, community-oriented organization. This role will be creating and implementing content and marketing strategies, as well as building systems to help serve Cornerstone & people to grow in maturity.

 

Who you are:

You are someone who sees the big picture clearly. You have deep understanding of the systems, pathways and programs it takes to maintain a world class adult ministry ethos after doing this at a high level for a long time. You will have spent significant time leading in a context of similar size and scope. You will also have a tendency to think outside of the box and not be afraid to approach ministry in a way that will be sure to resonate with the world we live in. You are someone who makes decisions in a timely manner that reflects the vision values of the organization, designing clear courses of actionable steps with measurable goals that moves the ministry forward. You will bring immense insight and value to the leadership team at Cornerstone with the ability to speak into the global ministry integration of the organization at large. You are a steady and proven mentor to high-capacity leaders of all Adult Ministry disciplines with the ability to pull the most out of your team while also creating an environment that builds consensus, symmetry and integration across the team.

 

What you will do:

  • Create an integrated plan for assimilating people into the process of spiritual formation through small group studies, medium size groups, family groups, couple groups, and other adult venues
  • Create a framework for spiritual maturity with clear, accompanying content, steps, and marks
  • Recruit and develop a team of coaches sufficient to care for the number of facilitators in the organization
  • Build and oversee systems to recruit, train, deploy, and manage group leaders
  • Manage budgets, advertising, databases and delivery systems related to the groups ministry

 

 

Experience you have had:

  • Must have 5 years’ experience in fulltime ministry, at least 2 years in a church that has at least 500 people in groups
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an area of concentration that has equipped them for vocational ministry
  • Experience successfully leading group ministries
  • Must possess these key spiritual gifts: Leadership, Administration, and Teaching

 

 

Skills you have:

  • Strong ability to communicate, teach, vision cast, and execute vision
  • Advanced theological & writing training
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, teachable, and an eagerness to work with other teams
  • Significant collaboration skills with other teams & people
  • Previous staff management and leadership experience
