Hope Lutheran Church is looking for an Early Childhood Center Director for Hope Academy, a full-service, Christ-centered educational program for children age 6 weeks to kindergarten and a before and after school program for older children. The Center Director for Hope Academy is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care while sharing Christ’s love with both the children and their families. You must have excellent writing skills!

The Center Director is directly accountable for the overall operational management in accordance with well-established guidelines including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, marketing, budgetary considerations, and long-range planning. The Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately and in a Christ like fashion.

More specifically, the school Director will oversee and grow all aspects of Hope Academy, including:

  • Infant and child care program
  • Preschool and kindergarten program
  • Summer Camp
  • School-year "Out of School" camp (Christmas, Spring Break, etc.)

The Director will be responsible for staff and curriculum development and continual improvement, including:

  • Recruiting, hiring, and retaining quality Christian teachers
  • Implementing a training plan for new teaching staff according to classroom-specific guides
  • Conducting classroom observations to support and ensure curriculum implementation and delivery, using a variety of tools such as classroom observation forms and teacher evaluations
  • Working with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity and designing plans for continual improvement
  • Creating a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves
  • Ensuring that teacher training requirements are up-to-date

The Director will also be responsible for administrative activities and coordinating with Hope Lutheran Church leadership and volunteers, including:

  • Running a creative and effective marketing program to promote the child care and preschool
  • Creating a convertible, multi-use space for preschool, child care, and congregational events
  • Maintaining and overseeing the budget
  • Providing monthly financial updates to the Senior Pastor and Council
  • Creating an incentive program for the staff
  • Updating the policy and procedure manual for child care and preschool staff

**Hope Academy is an integral part of the Hope Lutheran Church community. The center Director will be expected to make Hope his/her church home.**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
