First Christian Church is a non denominational Bible based house of worship in central Phoenix. Our goal is to continually discover Jesus and grow others as His followers by connecting regularly with God, growing with and serving others.

The Business/Operations Manager furthers the mission of the church through oversight of the daily financial and facilities operations of the church. The position is specifically responsible for all church business related functions, to include finance/accounting, human resources management, and coordination of property improvements.

This management position requires 20 hours a week and oversees two areas; a shared administrative position and a full time facilities manager. The daily work schedule can be flexed within each 20 hour week in conjunction with orginazational needs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field -or- proven equivalent work experience.
Experience: 3+ years in business or finance with exposure to accounting functions. Fiscal and property management experience in a non-profit environment highly desirable.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

- Working knowledge of financial systems, account reconciliation, budgeting processes, and application of GAAP.
- Ability to identify organizational needs in daily operations for support services, and manage vendor contracts.

- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines with minimal
supervision. Versatility and flexibility in face of changing priorities and
overlapping roles.

- Analytically minded, with the ability to maintain attention to detail and precision in
account analysis and reconciliation, as well as report generation.

- Effective computer skills, including preparing spreadsheets and word processing documents. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ACS On Demand software platforming is desirable.

- A commitment to good interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and support of church ministries.
- A commitment to confidentiality regarding all church records and finances.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $34,000.00 per year
