All Saints’ Episcopal Day School in Central Phoenix seeks a School Counselor beginning in August of 2023. This is a full-time position that will partner with the Division Heads and the current School Counselor in meeting the needs of the students, faculty, and parents. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role and be a collaborative and positive individual that enjoys being part of a community. We are looking for someone with specific experience working with elementary-aged students.

Primary Duties
● Serve as a primary social and emotional support for students, faculty, staff, and parents—specifically working with students in our lower school (elementary division)
● Instruct Life Skills classes within the classroom
● Create and maintain a visible presence on campus with students and faculty
● Facilitate and manage the implementation of the school-wide social and emotional learning programs
● Provide and coordinate professional development for faculty and staff in collaboration with the administration
● Initiate and plan parent education events and activities
● Be a leading member of the diversity and inclusivity groups on campus

Counseling Role and Support
● Provide ongoing support inside and outside of the classroom to students in need of individual and group support
● Work collaboratively with the administration, faculty, learning services department, and parents to support students by creating plans and implementing them
● Cultivate a positive community, culture, and climate
● Work with outside organizations as needed and maintain an active referral list for external services
● Provide detailed records and documentation as needed

Instructional Practice
● Cultivate a student-centered learning environment, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect
● Demonstrate a passion for subject content, mastery, and love of learning
● Implement Life Skills curriculum and adapt as necessary to meet the current needs of students

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field. M.A. preferred
● Minimum of three years of school counseling experience
● Ability to connect well with others and collaborate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff
● Experience working with elementary-aged children
● Ability to anticipate and manage individual, group, and organizational needs and lead efforts to meet those needs
● Creativity, positivity, and passion for child development and working with children and adults
● An appreciation for and an understanding of the psychological, social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of the elementary-age children
● Ability to promote and maintain a collegial, educational environment throughout the campus
● Ability to utilize and integrate technology
● Ability to participate in the All Saints’ community events outside of school hours when needed for role
● Skilled at documentation, detail-oriented

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
