Position Summary

The mission of Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) is to win people to Jesus Christ, train believers to become disciples, and send disciples to impact the world. As a Recruitment and Staffing Specialist, you will be responsible for timely candidate follow-up, communication with hiring managers, reviewing resumes, ensuring an excellent applicant experience, and outbound recruitment. The ideal candidate is people-focused, detailed oriented, and genuinely cares about providing a great customer experience.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process
  • Manage the ATS (Applicant Tracking System), review resumes, send regret letters, and ensure excellent communication between the hiring manager and the candidates
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Collaborate with department managers to build strong relationships, advise on process and talent strategy, ensure accurate job descriptions are submitted, etc.
  • Assists in the interview process through communication, coordination, interviewing, and setup
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and needs of the organization
  • Responsible for interviewing candidates around CCV’s Staff Culture and Expectations
  • Gather required documentation and ensure all due diligence has been done to deliver quality hires
  • Create candidate snapshots for the final panel interview
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating interview interviews and logistics

Outbound Recruitment

  • Create and manage talent pipelines and partner with ministries on talent planning and needs
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Team on implementing marketing strategies that drive awareness and target qualified applicants
  • Responsible for reports and metrics as to the effectiveness of the recruitment and marketing strategies
  • Build and implement creative strategies to engage and recruit passive talent
  • Shared responsibility with LinkedIn and career page postings, planned and executed engaging content that represents CCV’s DNA and work culture
  • Manage our careers page with priority job requests and update content as needed to keep current
  • On occasion will need to be willing to travel to college campuses and conferences to engage talent and create brand awareness

Minimum Qualifications

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail is needed to be successful
  • Outbound Recruitment experience is highly preferred
  • HRCI or SHRM Cert is preferred
  • Must be willing to travel 5-10% of the year
