All Saints’ Episcopal Day School in Phoenix seeks an experienced and talented lower school Spanish language educator to begin in August 2023. We value candidates who are passionate about teaching and learning, have a love for the Spanish language and Latin American culture, and are innovative and knowledgeable about how to make Spanish come alive both inside and outside of the classroom. Successful candidates can facilitate learning through differentiated modalities and help students develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Spanish.

This full-time position is responsible for teaching students in kindergarten through fourth grades, working collaboratively on a dynamic team of educators, supporting our schools’ communication with Spanish-speaking families, as well as the other responsibilities of being an independent school educator. Additional responsibilities throughout the year require attendance at evening and weekend events; therefore, All Saints’ is seeking an individual who values a connected community.

● Integrate and utilize a variety of teaching and learning modalities including music, song, dance, and traditional stories/nursery rhymes to support the acquisition and retention of language skills.
● Plan instructional activities in collaboration with grade-level and departmental colleagues, attending weekly collaborative planning meetings
● Demonstrate a passion for subject content, skill mastery, and foster a love of learning

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, education, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
● Fluent in Spanish and have experience teaching a world language
● Experience working with children in an educational setting
● Experience utilizing technology tools to support instruction, communication, and collaboration.
● Ability to connect well with others, including students, families, colleagues, and administrative staff
● Creativity, passion for the subject matter, and a positive attitude
● An appreciation for and an understanding of the social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of learners ages 5–10

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
