Accountability: Accountability of the Section Leader is to the Director of Worship, Music and the Arts.
Responsibilities:
1. Attend weekly rehearsals of Chancel Choir (Thursdays 7-9pm; September through June) and scheduled rehearsals for special events (i.e. Christmas Concert rehearsals), often on
Saturday mornings.
2. To attend worship services (currently 9:30am on Sundays), as well as seasonal services and concerts, which the Chancel Choir serves.
3. Sing solos in worship or concerts if and as requested by the Director.
Requirements:
1. Musicianship: strong sight-reader, pitch sense, and ensemble singer
2. Musical leadership; primary duty is to give volunteer singers a strong sense of musical security
3. Group leadership; demonstrates a sense of community, positive attitude, faithful attendance and punctuality at rehearsals and performances.
Compensation:
$26.50/hour, with a three-hour minimum per call.

Section Leaders are selected by auditions, personal interview and references.
Audition repertoire requirements shall include a solo plus sight-singing a portion of a choral anthem.
