What are we looking for?

Candidates must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, possess knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice, and express a passion for working with young children and their families. We seek to hire teachers who demonstrate a high level of professionalism and creativity.

Ideally, we seek Lead Teacher candidates with several years of experience as a Preschool Teacher along with a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 to 18 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

The ideal Assistant Teacher candidate will have completed a minimum of 12 to 18 units in Early Childhood Education or 12 ECE units in combination with a non-specific college degree or currently enrolled in a college program working towards the completion of a bachelor’s degree.

SCHEDULE

  • We follow an academic calendar: August 24, 2022 through mid/end of June 2023
  • Holidays closely follow the San Diego Unified School District Calendar
  • Monday through Friday: 20 – 29 hours per week

HOURS: Preschool classes begin at 8:45am and end at 12:00pm

  • Scheduled Start Time: 8:15am
  • Scheduled End Time: 12:30 or 1:30pm
  • Positions are also available for teaching After Preschool Programs:
  • Early Morning Care:Start time 7:30am
  • Lunch Bunch:End time 1:30pm
  • Specialty Classes MWF: End time 2:30pm
  • Fours Enrichment Program T/Th: End time 3:30pm

POSITIONS

  • Lead Teacher: $18 - $24+ per hour
  • Specialty Class and Enrichment Teacher, M-F Schedule: $20 - $24+
  • Assistant Teacher: $16 - $18 per hour
  • Substitute Teacher: $16 - $25 per hour
  • Salaries are based upon level of education and experience
