Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all aspects of Children’s Sunday school, Children’s Chapel, Holy Day, and Communion Class Celebration.
2. Organize and run summer Vacation Bible School.
3. Work with the business manager to obtain supplies for children’s ministries.
4. Work with the Rector to select and order curriculum for children’s ministries.
5. Schedule classes to support the children’s curriculum.
6. Enlist and train adult volunteers
7. Ensure the Children’s Care Director, Children’s caregivers, and volunteers complete and maintain “Safeguarding God’s People” prior to participating in any children’s ministry. Work with the business administrator as needed to ensure this training is documented in church personnel records.

8. Attend continuing education and training available through the Diocese
9. Maintain adequate records and submit information for Parochial Report.
10. Provide information for children’s portion of parish education brochures as well as website and Mini, attend weekly staff meetings and yearly staff retreat as required by Rector.

11. Welcome newcomers and visitors with children. Invite them to participate in children’s ministries.

12. Perform other related duties as assigned or approved by the Rector.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise children during children’s ministry events and parish volunteers who support children’s ministry events.

Qualifications:
1. Pass a background check.
2. The position will be working with young children and the applicant must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19.
3. Provide documentation of a successful TB test and be tested annually.

4. Complete and maintain CPR Certification as required by Public Health
Department standards.

5. Complete and maintain training in “Safeguarding God’s People” administered by the Episcopal Church.

6. Must be articulate and people oriented.
7. Strong organizational skills
8. Must be willing to work with young children.
9. The position requires patience when working with volunteers and interacting with parents.
10. Must be able to recognize when adaptations are needed and make necessary changes.
11. Able to communicate the vision and spirit of the St. Dunstan’s mission statement.
12. High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree desired.
13. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
14. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Experience:
1. 3 to 5 years of prior experience as a supervisor is desired.
2. 3 to 5 years of prior experience in children’s education is desired.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
