POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Communications and Digital Engagement Manager handles the production of all agency-wide marketing, communication, and digital content, such as blogs, social media, videos, newsletters, and websites as directed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Communications and Digital Engagement Manager oversees the accuracy and details, including the layout and visual components, and develops materials for a specific audience or demographic. The Communications and Digital Engagement Manager helps tell the story of what we do while building awareness about the importance of our programs and services in helping people thrive and communities prosper.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: a. Lead digital content strategy, manage, and monitor social media, and maintain an editorial calendar for social media channels, website, and email marketing tools to ensure consistent communications and outstanding service across channels. b. Provide graphic design for agency reports, brochures, and other materials for digital and printed use. c. Develop various digital marketing materials for all programs and services across the Agency. d. Collating video content. e. Measure the success of social media campaigns and monitor social media trends and best practices. f. Manage email marketing tool. Write, edit, and distribute email to outside partners, implement internal standards, and train staff on best practices. g. Provide quick turnaround in a deadline-driven environment with exceptional service while balancing proactive communication tasks and urgent issues that may arise. h. Write accurately, concisely, and quickly while adhering to and championing plain language and brand standards. i. Write and edit promotional and news items for use in various digital and print materials and deploy campaigns. j. Work collaboratively with the Agency’s Philanthropy Department to create and manage marketing content

(including digital content) related to the Agency’s appeals, campaigns, and other fundraising efforts. k. Creatively and strategically drive a digital narrative to enhance the Agency’s image and further its mission. l. Gather and draft client “stories” to capture the challenges and achievements of those served by the Agency. m. Work with the CEO to develop and execute communication and marketing plans.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or relevant field.
2. Experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or Advertising.
3. Creating digital engagement strategy and implementation (website, social media, and email).
4. Strong writing and editing experience and skills with exceptional attention to detail.
5. Strong activity in social media and an understanding of relevant software.
6. Knowledge of/familiarity with marketing techniques like SEO and SEM.
7. Experience in managing targeted social media advertising campaigns.
8. Knowledge of/familiarity with niches like video content, with CMS, and web analytics.
9. Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills.
10. Data visualization with the ability to make dense data more accessible.
11. Branding/Brand voice experience.
12. Ability to organize and plan own work.
13. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
14. Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality and possess the skill to establish working relationships with community partners.
15. Knowledge of/familiarity with/sensitivity to the cultural background of populations served by the

Catholic Charities.
16. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance in compliance with Agency requirements.
  • Successful pass of FBI/DOJ live scan

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
