Position Summary:

 


The Lead Salesforce Developer will perform various tasks that include designing technical solutions, defining requirement and scope, isolating key issues and reviewing potential solutions. They will refine the church’s business objectives into business requirements and move any project ideas from design to delivery. This position will collaborate with Tech Innovation, Data Management, and stakeholders to provide technical assistance in examining, improving, and designing IT & data systems and processes to meet stakeholder’s requirements and goals and support the whole organization. Additionally, they will also update systems and fix issues as they arise and will test security, performance, and implement other solutions as needed. This position will keep abreast with the latest advancements and research in the field and industry.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 


  • Translates business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and various integrations.
  • Act as the go-to Salesforce expert – providing Salesforce technical advice, design direction, and leadership to all team members to advance the project.
  • Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary.
  • Design, build, and configure applications that are highly functional, scalable, and easily maintained.
  • Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions including custom platform development (APEX, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce) and external data integration (middleware tools, Salesforce APIs)
  • Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and email Alerts.
  • Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources and schedule development.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.
  • Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis for defects. Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance-related issues.
  • Support post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes.
  • Gather and refine requirements from stakeholders to build systems and solutions utilizing various systems to meet the organization’s goals
  • Build and maintain Dashboards utilizing Salesforce Reports, Google Data Studio, and Power BI to track performance of the organization for various department heads and leadership (Google Data Studio and Power BI prior experience not required but preferred)
  • Oversees the Data Migration Projects from FellowshipOne and other systems into Salesforce ensuring data integrity and completeness
  • Manage the day to day of operations of Salesforce system via user management and permissions, updating solutions and automations, offering trainings and training materials to all users, and employing any fixes and updates, as needed
  • Manage support tickets and requests to help manage tasks and projects using agile methodology and mapping out the Tech & Data Roadmap
  • Help implement fixes and solutions to reported problems in a timely manner and with good customer service
  • Stay knowledgeable on latest advancements in technology & data systems as well as releases for existing systems
  • Spearhead strategic process improvement initiatives utilizing thorough analysis of existing business procedures and identifying improved strategies or process flows
  • Participate in the development of solution architecture
  • Increase data integrity by consolidating business rules across multiple channels into one business layer using SOA architecture
  • Facilitate documenting current processes and solutions
  • Coordinate the work of teammates to accomplish CRM, Business Intelligence or Data management objectives

Job-related Qualifications:

 

Education, Training, and Experience

 

  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred, but not required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • CRM Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Salesforce Declarative development using Process Builder, Workflows, Lightning App Builder, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Salesforce platform programming languages Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Salesforce platform programming languages Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Proven integration experience using integration techniques - REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
  • Thorough understanding of Salesforce Deployment Process and tools.
  • Business Intelligence Experience (prior experience not required but preferred)

  • Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
  • Ability to be firm but gracious in dealing with staff and ministry leaders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for MAC (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.

 

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which includes: social security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
  • Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
  • Member of the Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to the Rock Church).
  • Regular involvement in Rock Church activities, ministries and events.
  • Tithe 10% to the Rock Church.
  • Signed acknowledgment of the Rocks Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rocks policies, procedures and employee handbook.
  • Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
