The Community Development group is responsible for the spiritual culture for the Free Sacred Trinity Church and its affiliated entities. In addition, this group is responsible for internal and external community outreach, which consists of marketing and media communications. The Community Development group develops, coordinates, and manages programs that promote the organization’s mission, values, principles, disciplines of stewardship, and spiritual identity to the internal and external communities of guests, adherents, missionaries, and staff.

The Community Development Onsite Channel Manager (OCM) will oversee the daily operations of OHI’s onsite marketing and communication programs and efforts that increase guest engagement and improve the onsite guest experience. The OCM position is primarily a project management role that requires additional skills in leadership, brand management, coordinating the work of creative teams, content development, analyzing marketing efforts, and providing status reports.

Requires working at FSTC’s missions, OHI San Diego and OHI Austin located in San Diego, CA and Cedar Creek, TX as well as subordinate ministries and subsidiaries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

CHANNEL MANAGER DUTIES:

  • Responsible for executing strategic marketing plans that support on- campus marketing efforts.
  • Manages projects for Community Development related to customer engagement, using analytical, research, and conceptual skills (data- driven, marketing best-practices, concept-to-creation) resulting in an improved onsite guest experience.
  • Acts as the project manager on marketing projects and uses project management best practices and processes for all projects. Executes marketing efforts, on-time, and on-budget
  • Ensures onsite marketing programs align with our organization’s program teachings, MVPs, brand & style guide, and other marketing/communication efforts.
  • Partners with other business units to strategize on increasing customer sales, integrating marketing activities, and maximizing sales (eg, OHS, OHE).
  • Develops onsite marketing programs that increase guest engagement, such as:
  • Referral Program – Executes our guest referral program
  • In-House Stayover Program – Executes our IHSO program
  • Fundraising – Executes onsite fundraising efforts
  • Guest Surveys – Analyzing and comparing to current guest experience, gaining guest insights, and providing recommendations for guest experience improvements.
  • Responsible for onsite digital platform (aka. guest intranet portal), including analysis of usage, and outbound messaging/content to guests.
  • Responsible for onsite content creation:
  • Copy and content for Guest WiFi Portal and Intranet pages
  • Photos (E.g., Guests, Missionaries, Staff)
  • Videos (E.g., Guest testimonials, Class content)
  • Guest Testimonials
  • Third-party reviews (Yelp, Google)
  • Analyzes customer behavior to engage and nurture new and repeat customers. Then, prepares and presents status reports for marketing efforts.
  • Develops onsite marketing/communications materials (OHI brochure, Fundraising flyers, etc.)
  • Ensures the onsite physical spaces are on-brand (signage, guest community areas, guest rooms, etc.)

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications with an emphasis on integrated marketing or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5-8+ years of proven experience in multi-channel marketing. Including, experience with:
  • Functional knowledge in onsite marketing channel strategies and tactics (Including branding, marketing campaigns, promotions that build an adherent base and increase revenue, analytics that measure success (ROI) of campaigns, budgeting, scheduling, and any area of marketing, direct or indirect, needed to efficiently perform this role).
  • Managing CRM functions including database management and execution of targeted campaigns.
  • Managing SEO efforts.
  • Using a variety of marketing and reporting platforms, such as Websites, CMS, CRM, Email Marketing, and Analytics.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate (Aka. Building community through onsite community-based programs – Referral, IHSO, Fundraising, content creation.)

· Must have proven ability to:

  • Influence and work with Senior and Executive level staff.
  • Lead teams with demonstrated ability to project management experience and ability to juggle multiple, parallel initiatives.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Manage contractor and third-party vendors.

· Must possess:

  • Strong work ethic and strong organizational, problem-solving, planning, and time-management skills with a high degree of detail orientation.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with experience writing marketing copy across different platforms and channels

· Preferred but not required:

  • Background and/or experience working with faith-based, non-profit organizations with a focus on health and nutrition.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Ie, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in presentation software (Ie, MS Powerpoint, Adobe InDesign, InVision, Canva).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software (Preferred: Hubspot).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in cloud-based email software (Preferred: Hubspot)
  • Experience working with SQL database developers.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems, a plus (Preferred: Hubspot).
  • Familiarity with website trend software, a plus (Ie, Google Analytics).

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent writing skills. Expertise in the editing writing and editorial management of publications.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from adherents, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
