Position Summary:
Creates, leads, plans, and implements a well-organized, exciting, character-building, developmentally appropriate, Christ-centered Summer & Holidays Camp program for ages 5 - 12, and After School Program for grades K - 6. More information at www.rockacademy.org/camps

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates a Christ-centered environment where students and staff grow in their faith.
Plans and coordinates activities in alignment with children's needs.
Maintains professional conduct and attitude, treating children with dignity, respect and loyalty.
Oversees disciplinary policies and implementation.
Ensures the safety of all children, and that all safety guidelines are properly implemented and maintained.
Responsible for staff hiring and development of staff.
Supervises staff and monitors work responsibilities.Evaluates job performance.
Communicates effectively and confidentially with parents.
Creates budget and operates within the budget.
Purchases supplies needed for program maintenance.
Ensure that reservations and check requests are made for camp supplies, outside vendors and field trips.
Oversees general clean-up of program areas, assists in cleanliness of campus.
Maintains professionalism and loyalty to the program and supports the policies of Rock Academy.
Working the Marketing Director, helps implement advertising and marketing campaign.

Education, Training, and Experience

5 years or more experience as a Camp Director, Assistant Director or similar experience with elementary students.
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.

Job Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Strong knowledge of Scripture, Christian principles and beliefs.
Supportive of the beliefs of The Rock Church & Academy through conduct and conversation.
Warm and friendly personality, aware of the feelings and needs of others.
Willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with program goals.
Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and provide excellent customer service.
Read, write, spell, and communicate clearly in English.
Work productively, both independently and collaboratively with others.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.

Organizational and Spiritual Requirements:
Committed Christian who is actively involved in a local church and growing in their faith.
Demonstrate Christ-centered behavior at all times by treating people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity.
Utilize the principles of Matthew 18 and Ephesians 4:15 to resolve differences of opinion with others.
Successful completion of a thorough pre-employment references and background checks, which includes: social security verification, Local, State & Federal criminal conviction records search, national security database, and sex offender registry.
Signed acknowledgment to support Rock Church & Academy Statement of Faith and Beliefs.
Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock's policies, procedures and employee handbook.
Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
Professional attitude and demeanor.
CPR and First Aid Certifications obtained within 10 days of employment.
