Position Summary:

The Freedom Center Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the transitional housing and resource center. This hands on dynamic leader will oversee all programming and operational aspects of the facility while managing a team that is passionate about the mission, values and goals of the Freedom Center. The Program Director should demonstrate results-oriented leadership that contributes to the sustainability of the Freedom Center and long-term strategy. This individual shall model healthy relational boundaries in a transitional residence living environment designed to empower participants and prepare them for a successful re-integration. This position directly supervises the Freedom Center staff and reports to the Rock Church Director of Operations.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Christ-centered, survivor-focused, resilience and trauma-informed programmatic leadership, with strong experience in planning, budgeting, goal setting, assessing, reporting on program outcomes to Rock Church senior leadership.
  • Responsible for program design and development for both the Freedom Center facilities, i.e. transitional housing and resource center.
  • Establishes a hiring plan for the facility that includes, but not limited determining the staff/positions required to operate the transitional housing and resource center.
  • Trains and provide direct supervision to all residential and staff members.
  • Assesses and recognizes training needs, and support staff to provide case management, advocacy, resources and referrals to participants.
  • Oversees daily operations of the Freedom Center and all related supervisory tasks, including staff planning, team development and support.
  • Works closely with the Rock Church senior leadership to provide strategic vision and leadership for short and long-term strategic growth and direction.
  • Works closely with the Rock Stewardship department to develop and execute a fundraising strategy to fund the Freedom Center operations and programming budget.
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure quality services for participants and accountability for staff, including client records and other program documentation to ensure compliance with agency and funding standards.
  • Collaborates with Rock Church senior leadership and staff members to prepare reports and program evaluations as per funding requirements.
  • Ensures accurate and timely collection of statistical data required of the program.
  • Acts as a liaison with outside agencies in an effort to establish and enhance relationships, working towards a more coordinated community approach to sex trafficking.
  • Coordinates and consults with other agencies to ensure smooth transition of residents to the next phase.
  • Identify emerging issues, service models, intervention and treatment trends, remains apprised of developments in the field and changes in standards and requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Provides crisis intervention, leverages de-escalation techniques, and offers practical assistance to clients as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences or related field or equivalent. Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in non-profit management.
  • Previous work experience working with social service organizations, desired.
  • Licensed or license-eligible by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or equivalent, desired.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding and implementation of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented therapeutic practices.
  • Certification or equivalent experience working with women in recovery from addictions (e.g. CR, AA, 12-Step programs).
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to engage in ongoing training in resilience and trauma-informed practices, behavioral health and/or recovery issues.
  • Knowledge of sex trafficking/victimization/women's issues/cultural competency & awareness strongly preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as need to support 24/7 operations.
  • Strong internal morale compass and experience working in positions dealing with highly confidential information and ability to report critical information in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage crises with tact, diplomacy and sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
