ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES:
Represent agency and departments in the community with other organizations on matters pertaining to low-income individuals and families, community planning, and related issues.
Maintain and expand existing program activities and develop new initiatives that foster the department and agency’s mission.
Ensure conformity, consistency, and accountability of service delivery within and across programs of the department according to established standards.
Develop and implement program-specific policy and procedures manuals.
Manage and supervise coordination of the participation of staff and volunteers in community events, nutrition classes and other outreach activities.
Compile and submit weekly, monthly and annual reports as required by the programs and the agency.
Review, investigate and resolve all complaints/problems from staff members, volunteers or clients associated with all programs.
Responsible for researching, investigating and applying for grants to fund the program.
Responsible for fundraising including grant requests, letter writing, and presentations to the public.
Develop and approve program budgets. Review, monitor and approve program expenditures to ensure spending is within approved budgets.
Directly supervises 2-4 employees and volunteers in the Emergency Food Distribution Network program. Directly supervises 4-6 employees and volunteers in the CalFresh Healthy Living and CalFresh Outreach programs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Catholic Charities services and resources.
3-5 years of related field experience or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of/familiarity with or ability to quickly learn the resources and programs that are available within the community/county to assist seniors, homeless and other indigent populations.
Knowledge of the community resources, health, and social services systems in San Diego County,
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize.
Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality and possess skill to establish working relationships with community partners.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, volunteers m staff and the general public.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (Desired)
Ability to learn and become proficient with Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance in compliance with Agency requirements.
Successful pass a DO/ FBI live scan, and Federal debarment requirements
CPR or First Aid certification (Desired)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to work comfortably on a desktop computer. Must be able to travel to various locations as required by program.
