POSITION SUMMARY*:
The Program Manager / Leadership Council Liaison provides strong, decisive oversight of the Sisters’ Faith in Action Network (Sisters’ FAN) Program/Hilton Foundation Grant, assessing and prioritizing program deliverables while maintaining positive, productive working relationships with program partners onsite and in the community. The Manager also oversees all aspects of routine program operations, data collection, and grant compliance and provides responsible stewardship of financial resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent the agency and departments in the community with other organizations on matters pertaining to low-income individuals and families, community planning, and related issues. Participate in various external meetings associated with the programs.
  • Maintain and expand existing program activities and develop new initiatives that foster the department and agency’s mission.
  • Ensure conformity, consistency, and accountability of service delivery within and across programs of the department according to established standards.
  • Develop and implement program-specific policy and procedures manual.
  • Directly supervise one non-supervisory employee. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Manage projects, special assignments, and other duties as assigned.

PROGRAM OVERSIGHT:

  • Plan and lead quarterly leadership Council meetings.
  • Ensure the completion of monthly reports from each Congregation. Make sure reports are accurate and timely.
  • Compile monthly reports into quarterly and annual reports for the Leadership Council to review.
  • Work with Congregations to ameliorate any issues or problems within their individual projects.
  • Serve as the liaison between CCDSD, the Congregations, and the Diocese of San Diego via the Office for Women Religious.
  • Implement systems and processes that support efficient program operations.
  • Ensure timely payment to partners for deliverables.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:

  • Establish and monitor data collection systems. Ensure documentation accurately reflects services provided and outcomes achieved in compliance with grant requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Leadership Council and the Hilton Foundation Grant subgrantees to verify the accuracy and completeness of data collected.
  • Compile, prepare, and submit monthly internal and quarterly reports as required by the program, grant, and agency for review by Director.
  • Review, investigate and resolve all complaints/problems from staff members, collaborative partners, or third parties associated with the program and/or grant.

  • Adhere to the Mission, Principles, and Policies of the Agency.
  • Serve as a role model by exhibiting appropriate behavior and social interactions with participants.
  • Set firm limits with participants while maintaining a patient and kind demeanor.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA Degree in social services, human services, business administration, or equivalent life/work experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in progressive responsibilities in leadership/ management roles in a nonprofit social service organization.
  • Preferably a woman religious and/or experience working with women religious.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrates familiarity with California wage and hour laws and overtime guidelines.
  • Minimum two years of grant management experience. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, planning, evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with grant management, partners, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and independently.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to work with database software.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with complex and time-sensitive problems in a calm and thoughtful manner.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance in compliance with Agency requirements. Must complete a DOJ and FBI live scan.
